The Tour after the wedding

A slow, intimate journey to western Vancouver Island. With hidden valleys, long beaches, winding roads, and coastal adventures. For the twenty-two of us exploring together after the big day.

Our Route

Vancouver Island Explorers - Itinerary

August 3

  • We depart around 10:00.

  • We visit the North Island Wildlife Rescue Center

  • We hike to the Hole in the Wall

  • We stop in Port Alberni for supplies and lunch

  • We drive to the Pacific Rim National Park (Tofino) and make camp at Green Point campground.

  • We sit on the beach, enjoy the evening

August 4

  • We have breakfast at camp.

  • We go to Tofino and explore town.

  • Optional: Join a whale watching tour! (use form below to order!)

  • In the afternoon we drive to Ucluelet and hike the Wild Pacific Trail

  • We have another night at Green Point camp.

August 5

  • We have a small breakfast near the hotel

  • We drive to Butchart Gardens

  • We have a special lunch in the gardens

  • We take the ferry from Swartz Bay to Tsawassen at 14:00

  • We stop by YVR airport (Ollie & Jana) and then we arrive in Vancouver around 17:30

August 6

  • We need to pack up and move to another campground.

  • During the day we do the Canso Plane crash hike

  • We explore more trails and beaches

  • We make camp at Bella Pacifica campground

  • In the evening we can eat out in Tofino

  • We have breakfast at camp.

  • We visit a surfing beach.

  • Optional: Get a surfing lesson! (use form below to order!)

  • We take a boat to Meares Island and hike in the old growth forest

  • Last evening at camp

August 7

  • We have breakfast at camp.

  • We leave the Pacific Rim National Park

  • We visit Cathedral Grove old growth forest

  • We stop at Coombs market with the goat on the roof

  • We may stop in Chemainus

  • We arrive in Victoria

August 8

We travel together, camp together, stopping where the view or the food calls to us. No rushed schedules.

Bring light layers for cool coastal evenings, a simple windbreaker for walks, and your favorite worn-in sweater for campfires.

Pack comfortable walking shoes or light boots for exploring ancient stone villages, dirt paths, and winding cobblestone streets.

Bring a swimsuit for spontaneous dips in hidden coves, a camera for candid frames, and an open spirit for detours.
